TODAY’S HIGH MASS: As the settings for some of the parts of the Mass, for example the Kyrie and the Gloria, are fairly long, please watch the Sacred Ministers, and sit when they do.

MUSIC FUND: Should you wish to support the Music ministry of the parish, please consider placing a donation in an envelope available at the back of the Church on your way out.

PARKING: We have negotiated a deal whereby members of the parish may park in the Magnet Theatre parking over St Michael’s Road. The entry appears to be a one way opening. There are 22 parking bays available.

PARISH LUNCH: Next Sunday, Trinity Sunday, there will be a lunch after 10:30 am Mass. Tickets, at R60 per person, are available after Mass.

GUEST ORGANIST: We are delighted to have Michael Pelzel with us this morning. A native of Rapperswil in Switzerland, he studied organ and composition at the Lucerne Conservatoire and thereafter at Basel. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and his compositions have been widely performed in Europe and Israel, and on Austrian, Dutch and German radio stations. In 2009, he was awarded a Pro Helvetia Foundation scholarship for a three month residency in Cape Town.

At this morning’s mass he will improvise an Entrée, Sortie and interludes in the manner common to the French liturgical tradition.

THANK YOU AGAIN
: In case you were away last Sunday, a very big thank you to all who assisted with the Holy Week and Easter celebrations: those who donated or arranged flowers, who decorated and prepared the church for the various services, who were directly involved in the services as sacristans, musicians, choristers, lay ministers and servers, and of course all who attended to celebrate our faith. You made our keeping of the feast most memorable. Bless you.

FROM THE RECTOR: Thank you and many blessings to the members of the Parish for the very generous Easter Offering I received this week.

ICON: The latest edition of the Icon is on sale today. Please note the new price: R10 per copy.

FAREWELL: The Diocese will be bidding farewell to Dean Rowan Smith as he retires, at a service at St George’s Cathedral this afternoon at 3:00 pm.

This year Karen Williams will once again be co-ordinating this Lenten effort. Please would you place your donations of eggs or money in the basket at the back of the church.

PALM CROSSES: Please join a working party in the Hall on Saturday the 27th March to make palm crosses for Palm Sunday. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know some fellow parishioners.

EASTER FLOWERS: Should you want to give a gift of money for the flowers in Church over Eastertide, please put it in the ‘Easter Flowers’ envelope found at the back of the church and pop it in the collection bag.
